I have heard about a place in Brazil, where they have cultivated, more then 2500 different kind of Hibiscus. In my Nursery,i just had this few ones, you can see at this Pictures
What exquisite color and closeup detail on these beautiful flowers. The colors are just fabulous. Great job on growing all these lovely specimens. This is one of my favorite flowers.
I love hibiscus flowers and I only have one in my garden at the moment. If water was not a problem then I would have many. The flowers remind me of the beauty of a tropical island. Your photos are all so absolutely wonderful. Well done.
In Brazil,i just them as living Fences - They grew like mad and once in a year,i had to make a general Haircut. Some of them became about 4 meter high. Except a few kinds of Hibrids, who wanted to be cared like a Baby. But i love all of them
Once, i visited a Friend inside Brazil and he had about 500 types of them, mostly hibrids. You can believe me,that i nearly get mad. For the common Hibiscus,it was not a big Job,to grow them. They really grow by themself :)
How wonderful Attena, can't believe you grow all these! I have lots of them around my house, but you have varieties there I have never seen before. Where I live is called the Hibiscus Coast, because they are very common here and easy to grow. Thanks for showing these amazing photos of them.
Hibiscus grown quite nicely in Florida on the West Coast -- this inspires me to put me in my garden but we are on severe water restrictions and can't do any new plantings right now...
Hi Sandy - I can imagine that Florida has the right climate to grow Hibiscus. I think, that it is possible, that it has a Rainseason also. Just wait until then and then plant them. Once they have made good Roots, they will not need so much Water anymore.
