As we go into Autumn soon I understand your excitement for Spring up there Vic. Daffy nah you are not but I have so enjoyed this little tour. Everything in the Garden is Well!
Love your garden, Vic! So many pretty things just waiting to burst into glorious color! We used to have 100's of daffodils blooming in our garden in Oregon in February, but alas, daffodils don't do diddly here in Mexico! So I have to suffice with plumeria, hibiscus, and year-round roses and cannas. We've been eating cherry tomatoes and Blue Lake green beans from my garden, and I'll be planting some corn soon. I'll have to post some photos on Multiply of my Mexican garden. After 10 years of living here, it is still a mystery to me what to plant when, and for years (before the cattle guard) lost almost ripe corn and beans to cows or burros, which are free range here. Or wild rabbits!!! We also had about 40 Iris plants in our Oregon garden (they don't do well in Mexico, either) and it was always a challenge to keep them thinned. We lived near several famous Iris growers (Schriener's and Cooley's) so couldn't resist!
Usually they are beautiful Vic. Although the weather has been very tropical this Summer and rather odd. The autumn here can be like an Indian Summer actually and most desirable for all. Gardens and People alike.
I hope you will post some of your Mexican garden here it will add another to our world garden. Any problems with posting just im me. You should find it quite easy otherwise ask Vic he has managed extremely well here in GG. Thanks Vic..
These I buy in the fall along with amaryllis for holiday bloom in the house. Although I have planted outside and they usually survive our winter I have yet to have them bloom. But one year I had a big surprise. I had left an amaryllis bulb in the ground by mistake and it rewarded me with a very nice bloom stalk and bloom.
YES SIREE!

Our summers here are brutal and our falls mild, almost a small spring as everything puts forth a final bloom before winter. Are your Autumns colorful?

I'm not yet sure if my plumeria made it thru the winter. it's naked but the roots look good.

ReplyDeleteno ma'am, you never got a plumeria, would be good for your sunroom but wouldn't put outside if you get one. Maybe you're referring to your Clematis.
