Bringing some Spring to You all the way from Australia in the form of the:
Beautiful Runnuculus Flower.
Taken in the garden yesterday. There are only a few bulbs around but wow do they brighten the garden up.
Enjoy.
Cheers from Milli

yippee!!!!!Oooo thats nice! nice and close. Nice pin up! Milli! Love the deep red and tight petals - excellent!
That looks great. Am envious that you are celebrating Spring. Our Runnuculus disappeared a long while ago from the gardens.
Ooooo, beautiful! I love runnuculus, I used to grow it back in Napa. They're beautiful in the garden and beautiful in vases :-)We're just starting to color up for fall here. I'll get out and start photographing soon. Thanks for posting this :-)
Never heard of that flower before, it looks beautiful indeed. Great shot Milli!
Thanks Keith and you know it is actually even a deeper red than that but the best I could do with my camera.
I look forward to your Autumn photos Pat however I do understand exactly what you are saying.
You are more than welcome Amy and I have not picked any yet but I think it will be nice to have a vase full of colour in the house this weekend. Looking forward to your photos too!
Thanks Mia they are actually a bulb and very easy to grow.
Vivid colour. They must be a gorgeous show. The farm dogs flatten my flowers GRRR I think I'll tranform my garden in to all plants with spikes
I am not familiar with the flower -- I'll have to check and see if it grows in Florida... it almost looks like a "straw" flower...
